Title: Qualitative Analysis in Chemistry Experiment
Objective: To identify the presence or absence of certain substances in a given sample through qualitative analysis.
Hypothesis: We predict that the sample contains certain substances based on its physical properties and prior knowledge.
Variables: The independent variable is the sample being tested. The dependent variable is the identification of certain substances in the sample. The controlled variables are the equipment and materials used in the experiment.
Things to consider when filling out the form (Note: These are guiding principles. Primarily focus on filling out the form questions).
Data Collection: Record observations and measurements throughout the experiment using appropriate tools and instruments.
Data Analysis: Organize and interpret the collected data to identify patterns, trends, or relationships between the physical properties of the sample and the results of the tests.
Results and Conclusions: Based on the results of the tests, identify the presence or absence of certain substances in the sample and draw conclusions about the composition of the sample.
Discussion: Discuss the limitations or sources of error in the experiment, and suggest ways to improve the accuracy and reliability of the results.
Replication and Verification: Repeat the procedure to ensure the accuracy and reproducibility of the results.
Scientific Method: Follow the principles of the scientific method, including making observations, asking questions, formulating hypotheses, conducting experiments, and drawing evidence-based conclusions.
